Greensboro, North Carolina is another city that Maximum Security is proud to serve. Greensboro has a population of 250,642. Greensboro is located in an area known as the Triad which includes the cities of Winston-Salem and High Point. Greensboro is in Guilford County, a region known as a major furniture manufacturing hub. Behind Raleigh and Charlotte, Greensboro is North Carolina’s third largest city. City leaders and residents of large cities like Greensboro must be continually vigilant towards crime and its adverse impact. Greensboro’s police chief, Tim Bellamy and his team of sworn officers have helped the city’s property crime rate drop 3.32% in 2009 from 2008, the murder rate dropped from 25 incidents to 18 incidents in 2009, an improvement of 28%, and the incidents of rape dropped from 95 in 2008 to 74 in 2009 an improvement of 22%. The burglary rate also improved from 4946 incidents in 2008 to 4793, an improvement of 3.09%. There is still much work to be done as the Greensboro crime clock indicates, showing one major crime occurring every 31 minutes, one forcible rape every 5 days, and a burglary every 2 hours. Maximum Security considers it a privilege to aid law enforcement by providing cost effective home and commercial security solutions that help deter and prevent crime. Maximum Security would also like to congratulate Dwight Crotts on his promotion to Interim Police Chief, and wish Chief Bellamy well in his retirement.
